Cross-species studies of smoking effects on cognition and neuroinflammation in HIV (NICH)

Summary:
Smoking study looking at the effects of nicotine on cognition and neuroinflammation in persons living with HIV.

In order to participate you must be*:

  • 18+
  • HIV+ (have HIV) participants who may or may not be tobacco dependent
  • HIV- (do not have HIV) participants who may or may not be tobacco dependent

Other information

  • Study consists of a one-day (6-8 hours) visit
  • Compensation for participation is provided up to $90
  • You may qualify for a separate MRI and PET scan study with compensation up to $177.40
